Meeting of parliamentary heads of Azerbaijan and Lithuania takes place

The chairman of the Azerbaijani parliament, Oktay Asadov, has met with
his Lithuanian counterpart, Irena Dyagutene, Trend reports, quoting
the press service of the Azerbaijani parliament.

Asadov said that this visit will contribute to the development of
bilateral relations. At the meeting it was noted that
Azerbaijani-Lithuanian relations are developing dynamically.

It was also noted that there are great opportunities for expansion of
cooperation between Lithuania and Azerbaijan in the political and
economic spheres.

Dyagutene stressed that Azerbaijan is a very important strategic
partner for Lithuania in the South Caucasus. It was noted that the
Lithuanian-Azerbaijani business forum, to be held tomorrow in Baku,
will be another step in strengthening ties between the two countries.
