Rural residents of Karachay-Cherkessia have ceased to move massively to cities, the head of the republic, Rashid Temrezov said.

According to him, more than 60% of the region's population lives in the rural areas today.

"I can note to the great joy that the outflow of population from the village to the city and the process of urbanization have been stopped. At least, there is no such outflow as it was before," Temrezov specified.
