Cost of market basket grew in Russia

The average cost of the fixed market basket in Russia by the end of December 2010 amounted to 8,700 rubles monthly, increasing by 12.9% over the course of the year.

The highest market basket was observed in the Chukotka region, at 15,457 rubles, while the cheapest was in the Kemerov region, at 7,057 rubles. In Moscow the market basket cost 12,225 rubles in late December.

In December the prices of goods grew by 2.1% in comparison with the other months of 2010.
