Iran's Gilan implements pilot project on sturgeon fishing

The director of the "Shilat" fishing organization Saidi in Iran's
Gilan Province said that realization of the fish-breeding pilot
project in the province is a priority for fishing centers, Iran News
reports.


Saidi emphasized that Gilan has great potential in fishing and will
make it a fishing center. The main fish breeds are great sturgeon and
salmon.


Fish-breeding in sea boxes has benefits, Saidi says. The method
provides workplaces, produce fish products and preserve fishing
resources, grow valuable fish species, produce healthy and
high-quality fish products.


The Caspian Sea is suitable for fish-breeding in sea boxes in any
region. Gilan will become a major fishing center in the near future,
Saidi concluded.
