Kuban leader to support landslide-stricken at Tuapse

The Governor of Kuban Alexander Tkacgyov promised to support people suffering from the landslide in Tuapse District, Yuga.ru reports.


The landslide in Tuapse started on February 8. 4 locals were evacuated. The landslide increased on February 9. A 25-meter land sheet blocked the Jugba-Sochi road. A pensioner’s house was damaged. An emergency situation was announced.


The governor said that 3 houses are in the risk zone. No one was injured. Head of the Russian Road Agency in the region Pavel Petrichenko said that they will need 2 days to evaluate the situation and determine the measures needed to be taken.
