Teheran should answer IAEA questions - Lavrov
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaWhile there is no reliable information proving Iran's nuclear program is aimed at creating weapons, Teheran should respond to IAEA questions on the issue and should take into consideration UN concerns to avoid new sanctions, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told the Heldelsblatt newspaper.
"Teheran has not fulfilled the UN Security Council's requirements and has even made steps contrary to them," he said.
He also noted that Iran has started the enrichment of uranium to 20% and launched the building of ten new uranium enrichment plants, reports Prime-TASS.
"This is why a new resolution over Iran is on agenda of the Security Council," he said.
Lavrov also mentioned that "the six mediator-states" already have started "work on this issue".
