Armenian universities have more than three thousand students from diaspora
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaIn the academic year 2010/2011 the student body of Armenian universities included 3,370 students from the diaspora, 296 of whom are financed by the state, while 3074 pay for their tuition, Novosti-Armenia reports, citing the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science.
Most of them came to Armenia from Georgia (1645) and Russia (1073), followed by residents of Iran (291), Syria (82), Ukraine (65) and Turkmenistan (40 students).
According to the Ministry of Education, 446 young people from the Armenian diaspora are enrolled at the international universities in Armenia and 785 are enrolled at private universities.
