Georgian president makes appeal to parliament

until 2015, the country's president, Mikhail Saakashvili, said during
his annual address to the parliament on February 11, News-Georgia
reports.
The Georgian president noted that the development plan includes all
spheres of the economy. He added that, based on current trends, the
population of Georgia will increase to 5 million by 2015.
Saakashvili claimed Georgia will be the fastest growing economy in
Europe by 2015.
The president underlined that by 2015 all internal roads in Georgia
will be completed to international standards, and large railway
projects will be completed, including the construction of a railway
connecting Georgia with Europe (Baku-Tbilisi-Kars).
In addition, Saakashvili spoke about the development of tourism and
energy in the country and stressed that big investments will be
allocated in these areas.
In addition, Saakashvili talked about launching construction works of
a refinery, which will not only cover the needs of the domestic market
but will also export its products.
Saakashvili also called on the country's farmers to join the project
for the production of maize. In 2010, the US imported to Georgia maize
