British ambassador barred from entering Iran

The British Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Simon Gass, has been prohibited from entering the country, Trend cites Hossein Ebrahimi, a member of the Iranian Parliament.

The Iranian MP said that the British ambassador allowed insulting and humiliating words to be made against the Iranian government and people. At present, Mr. Gass is outside the Islamic Republic. He is barred from returning to   Iran. The Iranian authorities have taken this decision in response to Gass's actions against the Iranian people,
said Mr. Ebrahimi.

The National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Iranian parliament approved a bill on December 19 that requires a complete break in ties, including political, cultural and economic relations with the United Kingdom.
