'Karachay-Cherkessia - 25' nominated for Barcelona Planet Film Festival
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe 'Karachay-Cherkessia - 25' documentary, produced by the information and analysis agency Vestnik Kavkaza jointly with the TV channel of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation 'Vmeste RF' and dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the republic, is one of three documentary films shortlisted for the Barcelona Planet Film Festival in the Best Documentary Feature Film category.
The 'Karachay-Cherkessia - 25' film's director is Vladimir Nesterov.
'Human Energy' by Polish director Adam Dzenis and 'Camino na kolečkách' by Czech director Eva Toulová are also nominated for the Best Documentary Feature Film category.
Barcelona Planet Film Festival is a monthly international event which has reached his second year with meant to showcase innovative independent cinema from around the world by up-and-coming artists. For the first time it was first held in November 2015.
The festival hopes to be the voice and representation for films with a unique voice and message, regardless of how low the budget might be, according to the festival's website.
