Georgian President to meet with top EU, NATO figures in Brussels

Georgia's President Giorgi Margvelashvili will visit Brussels on March 8-10 to discuss Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic integration prospects, Georgian reforms and issues connected to the Georgia-EU visa free regime, as well as sectoral cooperation with the EU.

Margvelashvili is scheduled to hold meetings at NATO headquarters and at the European Council and Commission.

On the first day of the visit Margvelashvili will meet with the President of the European Council Donald Tusk and will hold a press conference for the media after the meeting, Agenda.ge reported.

Margvelashvili will also meet with the President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker and the EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Vice-President of the European Commission Federica Mogherini.

At NATO headquarters Margvelashvili will meet with the Alliance’s Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

In addition, Margvelashvili will also deliver a speech at the Brussels’ Forum and visit the Catholic University of Leuven.
