Azerbaijan and Georgia sign military cooperation plan
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaAzerbaijani Defense Minister Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov and Georgian Defense Minister Levan Izoria signed a plan of bilateral cooperation for 2018 at the meeting in Baku, the press service of Georgian Defense Ministry said.
The official welcoming ceremony of the Georgian delegation was held at the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry. The defense ministers of the two countries held a one-on-one meeting. Afterwards, a meeting in expanded format was held.
During the meeting, the ministers discussed cooperation in arms control between the Azerbaijani and Georgian defense ministries.
The sides also exchanged views on the prospects for cooperation in military, military-technical, military-educational, military-medical spheres, holding of joint military exercises, working meetings and issues of mutual interest.
According to the press service, in late March the military of the three countries plan to sign a memorandum on expanding cooperation between Georgia, Azerbaijan and Turkey.
During the visit, Levan Izoria also held meetings with Azerbaijan`s Prime Minister Artur Rasizade and Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov, the message says.
