86,000 people leave Eastern Ghouta

A total of 86,000 people had left the besieged Damascus suburb of Eastern Ghouta since the introduction of daily humanitarian pauses, the head of the Russian Center for Syrian reconciliation, Maj. Gen. Yuri Yevtushenko, said.

He noted that 5178 people have left the Eastern Ghouta via the humanitarian corridor near Muhayam al-Wafedin.

"Since February 28, in total 8003 people have left the Eastern Ghouta via the above mentioned corridor," RIA Novosti cited Yevtushenko as saying.
