Ministry of Emergency Situations: Risk of major fires exists in over 30 regions of Russia

The Ministry noted that risks of fires also exist in Moscow and St. Petersburg, including in homes for elderly and disabled.
Moscow and St. Petersburg, Moscow Region, Nizhny Novgorod, Vladimir and Samara Regions, Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District, Perm Territory, as well as Tatarstan, Dagestan, Chechnya and Ingushetia fall under this risk.
Situation with fire safety is no better in Rostov Region, Krasnodar and Stavropol Territories, as well as in Far Eastern Federal District.
The issue of fire safety in public facilities became the focus of attention after the Kemerovo tragedy, where 64 people, including 41 children, died in a fire at the "Winter Cherry" shopping center.
