Yana Pavlova: AGF is professional in organizing gymnastics tournaments
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaAzerbaijan Gymnastics Federation is a professional in holding international tournaments, Russian gymnast Yana Pavlova said, speaking with Vestnik Kavkaza after performing in the trampoline qualification on the sidelines of the European Championships in Trampoline, Tumbling and Double Mini-Trampoline.
"I remember that the organization of the First European games was very good, but it's already my fifth time in Baku, and I see that now it is even better than before. The work of organizers is just great. We travel a lot to different countries, so we see the organisation of different competitions. And Baku differs from others by the fact that they do everything very quietly and professionally here, without unnecessary movements and minor problems. That is, it's a very high-quality organization," she explained.
In addition, Yana Pavlova thanked the Baku fans for their support . "A lot of Azerbaijani spectators support our athletes. Yeah, basically, the entire crowd supports us when we enter the arena, and it helps us to do a good job," the Russian gymnast said.
"I really like to be in Baku. There is a beautiful Old Town here, the Maiden's Tower, it's all clean and lovely," the athlete added.
The 26th European Championships in Trampoline, Tumbling and Double Mini-Trampoline has opened in Baku today. More than 400 gymnasts from 25 countries are expected to join the Championships. In the first two days of the competitions, qualifications for all types of events both among junior and senior gymnasts as well as finals among teams will be held, on the last day, medalists will be known in all four types of the gymnastics events.
