Counter-terrorism operation limits tourism in Kabardino-Balkaria

Kabardino-Balkaria, Arsen Kanokov.
Vestnik Kavkaza reported earlier that the counter-terrorism regime was
introduced in the Elbrus and Baksan Districts.
30 of 45 cable cars crashed in Elbrus after an explosion at the cable
way on February 18. Two assailants wearing masks and camouflage
attacked a minibus with tourists from Moscow and the Moscow Region.
Three people died, two were hospitalized.
A vehicle with a bomb was found on February 19 in the center of the
village of Terskol, where there are several hotel complexes for
skiers.
