Iran discovers new gas field

The governor of Iran's Khorasan province, Rezavi Salehi, said that a
new gas field, "Kapedag," has been discovered in the province, Iran
News reports, referring to the information service of an Iranian
broadcasting company.

According to Salehi, the deposit is located 120 km to the east and
north-east of Mashhad near the border with Turkmenistan.

It is assumed that the field "Kapedag" will produce daily more than
120 million cubic meters of gas.
