Shia units’ commander denies reports on missile strike against base near Aleppo

A base of pro-Iranian units Fatemiyoun in the outskirts of Aleppo in northern Syria was not targeted by a missile strike overnight to Monday, a commander of the Shia militias fighting alongside with the Syrian army told the Al Mayadeen TV channel, TASS reported.

According to the commander, "the military facility is not damaged, there are no casualties among the personnel."

The Sky News Arabiya TV reported earlier that the missile strike against the Syrian army’s positions near Hama and Aleppo also targeted pro-Iranian military units fighting for Damascus. According to the TV channel, a military airfield near Aleppo, where a base of Shia fighters is located, was attacked.
