Traffic on Jugba-Sochi highway to be restored today

Workers are concluding preparations for the reopening of the
Jugba-Sochi highway, which closed due to a landslide two weeks ago.
Traffic is planned to open on February 22 at 16.00, Yuga.ru reports.

There will be one-way traffic for cars. Two-line traffic will be open
for construction equipment. The road will fully open in March, when
the basis of 48 stilts with a length of 35 meters will be set.

The landslide on the Jugba-Sochi road started on February 8. One car
lane was blocked. The land moved 6 meters on February 10, making the
road impassable. An emergency was announced in Tuapse District.

Restoration of the road requires 150-160 million rubles. Traffic at
Tuapse and Sochi is using a by-pass at the Shaumyan mountain pass.
