Armenia evacuates citizens from Libya

Four Armenian citizens have been evacuated from Libya via a Russian plane, News Armenia reports, citing Tigran Balayan, press-secretary of the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The citizens arrive in Moscow and were taken to the Armenian embassy.

Libya has been experiencing mass protests against Muammar al-Gaddafi since February 15. International human rights organizations say approximately 500 people have been killed and some 4,000 injured. the Libyan authorities deny mass deaths.
