Enguri HPP breaks down in Georgia

There was an accident at the Enguri hydroelectric power plant in Georgia yesterday, as a result of which the country had to urgently buy electricity from Russia, Turkey and Armenia.

After the accident, residents of several districts of Tbilisi and the Georgian regions were left without electricity for several hours.

By the morning the electricity supply to the capital was completely restored, the press service of the Georgian State Electric System said.
