Georgia to build 17 small hydroelectric power stations
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaGeorgian Energy Minister Alexander Khetaguri announced today that by 2015 Georgia will have built 17 new hydroeilectric power plants. The minister said at a meeting with President Mikhail Saakashvili that the construction of the plants is planned in Kakheti, Guria and Imereti. The total capacity will amount to 70 MW.
According to him, construction of the plants will begin this year and should be completed by 2015.
