Russian Ambassador presents his credentials to Sarkisyan
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin presented his credentials to Armenian President Armen Sargsyan, the presidential press service reports.
According to the diplomat, he will make every effort to develop strategic bilateral relations. Armenia's President, in turn, confirmed his readiness to assist the implementation of all initiatives aimed at strengthening the ties between the two peoples.
"The President congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and wished him good luck," Sputnik-Armenia cited the statement as saying.
Sergei Kopyrkin served as deputy Russian ambassador to the European Union and the European Atomic Energy Community in Brussels. He was appointed Russian Ambassador to Armenia on April 6 this year, replacing Ivan Volynkin.
