Krasnodar Territory to teach Cossack knowledge

Krasnodar Territory will open sections in its leading higher education centers to teach Cossack knowledge from March 1, ITAR-TASS reports.

Students will be formed into groups to learn the history, culture and traditions of Cossacks, Nikolai Doluda, Vice-Governor of Kuban and ataman of the Kuban forces, said. He added that Kuban has four cadet corps.

The groups will be formed at the Kuban State University, agrarian and technological state universities, the regional university of physical fitness and sports. The cadet corps will improve their status and have the same rank as the training schools of Suvorov.

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev introduced a bill on reforming Cossacks to the parliament in February.
