United Russia prepares list of candidates to head Karachay-Cherkessia

Russia’s ruling party, United Russia, has determined the party's candidates to head Karachay-Cherkessia. Russian President Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree on an early end to Boris Ebzeyev’s term of office as head of Karachay-Cherkessia. Deputy of the people’s assembly Rashid Temrezov, a former head of the Russian Federal Highway Service, is currently the acting president of the republic.


The leader the United Russia, Boris Gryzlov, said that the chairman of the republic’s government Muradin Kemov, Mayor of Cherkessk Petr Korotchenko and the acting head of the republic Rashid Temrezov are the candidates.
