Kazakhstan and Russia to update Baiterek project
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaKazakhstan's First Deputy Prime Minister Askar Mamin and Roscosmos General Director Dmitry Rogozin have discussed the Baiterek Space Center project at the Baikonur Cosmodrome, the press service of the Kazakh Prime Mimister said.
The sides agreed to update the Baiterek project for launching next-gen manned spaceships, establishing a working group to work out main cooperative approaches with the use of public-private partnerships, RIA Novosti reported.
The Baiterek joint venture was established in 2005 on the principles of equality of the Russian and Kazakh sides. The list of its founders includes - the Khrunichev state space center from the Russian side, and the committee of state property and privatization of the Ministry of Finance from the side of Kazakhstan.
