Rashid Temrezov becomes head of People’s Council of Karachay-Cherkessia

Rashid Temrezov has become the head of the People’s Council of Karachay-Cherkessia. He was the acting head of the region since February 26, RIA Novosti reports.


Temrezov was introduced by the president and approved unanimously.


Russian President Dmitry Medvedev dismissed the former head of Karachay-Cherkessia Boris Ebzeyev on February 26. Ebzeyev left the position of his own accord.


Temrezov was a deputy of the People’s Council. He also supervised the Russian federal Highway Agency. He received 70 votes.


Rashid Borisperovich Temrezov was born in Cherkessk on March 14, 1976.


He graduated from the Moscow Open University, at the management section in 1998. Temrezov supervised the administration of capital construction in Karachay-Cherkessia since 2004 and became the director general of the Electro-Technical Company.


Temrezov became the head of the Federal Highway Agency in Karachay-Cherkessia in January 2010. He became part of the 500 managers of the Russian president in 2009. He is married and has three children.
