Turkish President to travel to Egypt

Turkish President Abdullah Gul will pay a one-day visit to Egypt on Thursday, March 3, where he will hold talks with the leadership of the Supreme Council of the armed forces that came to power after the resignation of President Hosni Mubarak, RIA Novosti reports, quoting diplomatic sources in Ankara.

On February 11, Hosni Mubarak resigned due to mass protests and handed power over to the army. During the protests and subsequent riots in Egypt, 365 people were killed and more than 5,500 injured.
