Russia's Black Sea Fleet to get six more naval ships by yearend

Russia's Black Sea Fleet will get six more ships of different types this year, fleet’s Commander, vice admiral Alexander Moiseyev said.

"I will speak about the year 2018 - we have already accepted for service three ships. Of course, this is the frigate [Admiral] Makarov that today takes part in the Main Naval Parade... And of course, this is the medium reconnaissance ship Ivan Khurs, as well as other vessels. We will get six more naval ships of different types this year," TASS cited the vice admiral as saying.

Moiseyev specified that he was also referring to small-size missile ships.

The vice admiral added that trials of the Project 22160 lead corvette Vasily Bykov will be ended within the next few months, and the corvette will pass into the Black Sea Fleet service.
