After heavy rainfall in Turkey, roads were closed off today in both directions across the country’s Black Sea region.

Four bridges located on the Cevizdere Stream in the Ordu province have collapsed and 165 people are stuck in the region, Mayor of the Ünye district Mayor Ahmet Çamyar said.

"Four bridges have collapsed, four people wounded and 165 are waiting to be evacuated," Çamyar said.

Mayor of Ordu’s Çaybaşı district Ismet Yanik, in turn, said that 30 tons of hazelnuts have been damaged during floods, Yeni Safak reported.

Turkey's Meteorology Institute warned that a storm is expected between 00:00 a.m. and 15:00 p.m. on Thursday in the east of the Black Sea region.
