Azerbaijani foreign minister to visit Iran

Azerbaijani Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov will visit Iran on March 7, Trend cites Abbas Iskenderi, press-secretary of the Iranian embassy in Azerbaijan.

Mammadyarov will take part in the 8th session of the inter-governmental commission for economic cooperation as a co-chair. Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Akbar Salehi will be a co-chair as well.
The previous session was held in Baku in March 2008.

Azerbaijani-Iranian trade turnover in 2010 reached $243.219 million. Export operations were equal to $124.98 million, import - $118.24 million.

Tehran will host an expert meeting prior to the inter-governmental session, Iskenderi said.
