AzerMash presents Azerbaijani cars in Moscow (Photos)

Vestnik Kavkaza spoke with Veronika Allahverdiyeva, official representative of the Azeri automobile company AzerMash, which will participate in this events, about automobile industry of Azerbaijan.
First of all, she informed that two Azerbaijani produced cars will be shown during this event. "Both models were manufactured at the Khazar factory, a joint Iranian-Azerbaijani enterprise, which is the only car manufacturing factory in our country," she said.
"It was opened at the end of March of this year. Over the past months, we have produced over 300 cars, all of them were manufactured and sold in our country. Full capacity of this factory is around 10 thousand cars per year. Khazar is a private enterprise with state support, 25% of its shares are owned by Iranian IranKhodro XO, and 75% of shares belong to Azerbaijani company AzerMash," representative of the company said.
"So far our factory manufactures cars, while Iranian company works on design and delivery of spare parts. In the future, we place to replace Iranian parts with domestic production," she added.
The Khazar factory plans to export its cars starting from next year. "We plan to establish contacts with the CIS countries and near abroad to begin to deliver our cars in 2019. We're also in talks with Russia, our first strategic partner, and we hope that export of Azerbaijani cars to Russian market will be stable," she noted.
