Azerbaijan expects Russia to continue its efforts on Karabakh settlement, Aliyev says

Official Baku expects that Moscow will continue to make efforts to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said on Saturday after negotiations with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

"Russia as a co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group plays an important role in the settlement of [the Karabakh conflict], Russia is our neighbor, our historical partner and friend, and we expect that Russia's efforts to resolve the conflict will continue," the Azerbaijani leader said.
