Azerbaijani swimmer wins gold and silver medals at World Cup in Netherlands

Azerbaijani swimmer Maxim Schemberev won one gold and one bronze medal at the World Cup stage in Eindhoven (Netherlands), Secretary General of the Swimming Federation of Azerbaijan Farid Bananyarli said.

Shemberev won the gold medal in the 1500 m freestyle and bronze medals in the 400 m complex.

According to Bananyarli, at a distance of 400 meters, Maxim occupies the 10th position in the world ranking, and 3rd in European.
