A carrier failure has occurred during the launch of the Soyuz spacecraft to the ISS with Russian cosmonaut Alexey Ovchinin and NASA astronaut Nick Hague onboard, the newscaster reported during the live program.

A Soyuz-FG carrier rocket with a manned Soyuz MS-10 spacecraft has blasted off from the Baikonur spaceport in Kazakhstan to the International Space Station (ISS) at 11:40 a.m. Moscow time.

The source said that the crew members were alive and have made an emergency landing in Kazakhstan, they have been experiencing a g-force of 6gs during the landing, Sputnik reported.

The crew feels "good, as well as possible after experiencing such g-forces," the source added.

"Search and rescue teams report they are in contact with the Soyuz crew, who report they are in good condition," NASA said on Twitter. The teams are currently searching for the crew.
