Georgian social situation may go downhill – Noghaideli

The leader of the Fair Georgia Party, Zurab Noghaideli, told a press-conference today that inflation in Georgia may aggravate the social sphere, Georgia Online reports.

He believes that the purchasing power of the 100 lari pension in September may reach the current purchasing power of 80 lari.

The non-food inflation rate is running at 30%, with food inflation at 50%.

Noghaideli has urged the authorities to cope with the high inflation rate.
