In early March, Makhachkala discussed results of the republican target program “Development of small and medium-sized businesses for 2009-2011,” which is considered to be the main instrument of state policy aimed at supporting entrepreneurs. The program has 40 objectives. According to the deputy chairman of the Committee on Support and Development of small and medium-sized businesses, Maryam Hamidova, last year the program spent 89 million rubles allocated from the republican budget. The Dagestani Committee took one of the leading places in the contest for the federal target program “Development of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses” in Russia.

The years 2012-2015 provides implementation of a new program based on priorities identified by federal authorities. These priorities are creation of technology parks, development of centers of microfinance, creation of centers of coordination and support of export-oriented small and medium-sized businesses. Small business will continue to be supported based on the grant system. The grants will be increased from 150 to 300 thousand rubles, and from 75 thousand to 150 thousand rubles.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the Republican Committee of the Trade Union of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses, Ruslan Magomedov, urges colleagues to work harder on the legalization of small businesses.
