Zakharova: New US sanctions against Iran illegitimate

New US sanctions against Iran are illegitimate, Russia is taking steps to ensure that they have as little impact as possible on Moscow-Tehran economic relations, Maria Zakharova, the spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, said Thursday, UrduPoint reported.

"I would like to once again affirm Russia's principled position that US unilateral sanctions [on Iran] are illegitimate. We are taking measures to ensure that they have minimal negative impact on Russian-Iranian trade and economy cooperation," Zakharova told a briefing.
