Suspected gangsters on trial on coup charges in Karachay-Cherkessia

The Supreme Court of Karachay-Cherkessia has started hearings on a process against 14 suspected gangsters accused of attacking police officers and a coup attempt, ITAR-TASS reports.

Press-secretary of the court Alibek Botashev said that the prosecutor read out the accusations. The next hearings are scheduled for March 17.

The suspects are Alibek Bidzhiyev, Ali Bidzhiyev, Eldar Shidakov, Kazbek Gogayev, Murat Shidakov, Kurman Shakhanov, Marat Hasanov, Husey Semenov, Murat Chotchayev, Rasul Hubiyev, Biaslan Karayev, Hut Bogatyryov, Artur Batchayev and Jambut Temirbulatov.
