Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe Russian President’s administration is carefully monitoring the situation with gasoline prices, but it is the Russian government, which is taking concrete measures to solve the problem, the Russian President’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
"This subject is being carefully monitored. The Cabinet is now engaged in this, taking intensive measures, even aggressive measures," TASS cited Peskov as saying.
Yesterday, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak said that the government was to keep fuel prices rising within inflation. He also said that next week the government may decide to impose protective duties on the export of oil and oil products to stabilize the domestic market.
