Persian Gulf countries to allocate $ 20 billion for development of Oman and Bahrain

Gulf Arab countries have decided to allocate$ 20 billion to development programs in Oman and Bahrain, RIA Novosti reports.

This was decided at an extraordinary meeting of foreign ministers of Gulf states on Thursday in Riyadh.
These funds will be used to address the socio-economic problems of Bahrain and Oman, which have resulted in popular unrest in those countries.

Massive anti-government demonstrations under the slogan of democracy and socio-economic transformation involved several countries in the Arab world. People's actions have led to the downfall of the ruling regimes in Tunisia and Egypt. Uprisings spread to Libya,  Algeria, Morocco and Jordan,Yeman and Bahrain.
