Austrian Chancellor supports Brexit deal
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaAustria fully supports the Brexit deal, Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz said before the meeting with the EU Council head Donald Tusk in Brussels.
The current chair of the European Council insisted that the agreement brokered this week is a "good deal for both sides.'
"Nobody has been cheated," Yahoo cited Kurz as saying.
"This deal prevents a hard Brexit. Therefore it helps us in Europe, but even more so it helps GB because a hard Brexit would hit GB significantly more severely," he added.
In a message to British MPs, then Chancellor added: "I sincerely hope there will be some necessary support in the British parliament, that would lay the foundation for an orderly withdrawal."
This week UK Prime Minister Theresa May announced that her Cabinet had backed a draft agreement on Britain's departure from the European Union. The EU has set out a series of meetings leading up to 25 November when it plans to approve the Brexit agreement.
