The CSTO leadership after the last summit of the organization is considering two approaches to the appointment of a new secretary general: on the principle of rotation or again from Armenia, but many members of the organization doubt the effectiveness of the second option, the acting Secretary General of the organization, Valery Semerikov, said today.

“The rotation principle implies the appointment of a secretary general for the Russian alphabet, the next will be Belarus. Armenia’s position is to appoint its representative for the rest of the three-year period,’’ RIA Novosti cites the commentary published on the organization’s website.
