Wieslawa Milewska: AGF has created best conditions for acrobatic competitions
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation has created the conditions in the world for acrobatic competitions, technical delegate of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG), Wieslawa Milewska, said today in an interview with Vestnik Kavkaza at the sidelines of the FIG Acrobatic Gymnastics World Cup in Baku.
“Conditions created by the AGF at this stage of the World Cup are the best in the world. There's a great arena with all necessary infrastructure. High-level athletes competed here, and overall, the tournament turned out to be very good,” she said.
She also noted that the 1st European Games in Baku made a significant contribution to the promotion of acrobatic gymnastics as an Olympic discipline.
The first day of the FIG Acrobatic Gymnastics World Cup has kicked off in the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku yesterday. The first day saw qualifying competitions among women’s and men’s groups, women’s, men’s and mixed pairs in balance and dynamic (tempo) exercises.
During the two-day events, gymnasts born in 2003 and older compete in Men’s Pairs, Women’s Pairs, Mixed Pairs, Women's Groups and Men's Groups.
