Rakhim Kuriyev, a five-year-old boy from Russia’s Chechnya has entered the Guinness World Book of Records having executed 3,202 push-ups in 2 hours and 30 minutes, editor-in-chief of the Guinness World Records' Russian subsidiary Stanislav Konenko said.

"He has set a new world record - 3,202 push-ups within 2 hours and 30 minutes," Konenko said, adding that the record had been registered "for the age of five-year-old contenders."

The boy from the Chechen residential area of Duba-Yurt first came to media light on November 12 having sweated out a total of 4,105 push-ups within 2 hours and 25 minutes. His record, however, was not officially registered at that time.

As the record was not registered at that time  head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov said the boy could repeat his achievement for the official record and helped to convene a commission from the Guinness World Records association, TASS reported.

The record-breaking surge of Rakhim was broadcast live at the studio of the Grozny television and radio company, attended by the official representatives of the Guinness World Records as well as famous athletes and numerous relatives of the boy.
