Putin and Novak discuss OPEC talks in Vienna

Russian President Vladimir Putin and the country's Energy Minister Alexander Novak held discussions prior to a meeting with the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries in Vienna, a Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

Peskov declined to comment on whether Russia was ready to contribute to global oil production cuts, Reuters reported.

OPEC resumes discussions in Vienna today before heading into a meeting with non-OPEC oil producers led by Russia later in the day.
