Ingush leader speaks out against comparing Caucasians to criminals
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaIngush leader Yunus-Bek Yevkurov has urged other regions to be tolerant towards citizens from the North Caucasus and avoid comparing them to criminals, Yuga.ru reports.
In an interview with Novaya Gazeta he described the plans for reducing tensions on the Ingush labour market. He noted that people need opportunities to work beyond the republics.
Ingushetia will hold a vacancy fair in March. People from 8 republics will arrive. They may conclude deals and work in other Russian regions, Yevkurov said.
The Ingush leader said that people forget about figures of culture and science from the Caucasus and compare everyone to criminals.
Yevkurov recommended Ingush citizens working in other regions to respect the culture and traditions of local peoples.
