Kazan to select best student in Islamic disciplines and Arabic language

Students of the North Caucasus will take part in the 4th All-Russian Student Academic Competition in Islamic Disciplines and the Arabic Language in Kazan on April 18-19, Yuga.ru reports.

The Russian Islamic University in Tatarstan, supported by the Kuwait Organization of Islamic Sciences and the Fund for Support of Islamic Culture, Science and Education is the organizer of the competition. The event is aimed at involving talented youth in activities.

Students are expected to arrive from Chechnya, Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Dagestan, Kabardino-Balkaria, Mordovia, Ingushetia, Karachay-Cherkessia, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Orenburg and other Russian cities. Chechnya will be represented by students from the Russian Islamic University of Kunt Haji Kishiyev.

Students will demonstrate knowledge of Islamic law, religion and the Arabic language. Winners will be awarded certificates and prizes.
