Russia's Energy Minister Alexander Novak said that he will meet representatives of Russian oil companies on December 19 to discuss the situation on the global oil market and their actions.

The minister noted that Russia's oil production in 2019 may be adjusted downwards, taking into account the decision of OPEC+ transaction.

"The forecast for the next year is 555-556 million tonnes. But production can be adjusted downwards taking into account the reduction by 3-4 million tonnes," TASS cited him as saying.

Novak noted that the forecast for oil production next year may change.
