Kremlin: Putin may take part in Davos forum

Russian President Vladimir Putin may attend the 2019 World Economic Forum in Davos, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, adding that no final decision had been made yet.

"We do welcome a change in the atmosphere in Davos," he noted. "There indeed is an old and a constantly renewed invitation to Putin to visit Davos," TASS cited the Kremlin spokesman as saying. 

At the same time, Peskov noted that "no decisions have been made so far," because the president’s schedule is rather heavy given the international situation. "The possibility is under consideration," the presidential spokesman concluded.
